On Friday, January 18th, Chris Reese and James Leeper, shared with the 5th grade leadership class, the proper, respectful way to handle, raise and lower the United States flag.  Raising and lowering the flag is one of the many jobs that Liberty’s wonderful 5th graders do each day.  Their advisor and one of Liberty’s brilliant 5th grade teachers, Mrs. Rider, meets each month to assign jobs around the school.  Thank you, Chris and James, for helping us learn the proper flag etiquette!

Mr. Nazarian, with the help of students, rebuilds Liberty’s courtyard benches

Posted on: January 22, 2019

This fall Mr. Nazarian, one of Liberty’s talented 5th grade teachers, took on the task of rebuilding the courtyard benches.  Located outside of the office area, these two benches were worn and weathered but now are beautifully fresh and new, ready to be enjoyed by students!  Parr Lumber generously donated the wood, paint and screws.  In art and regular classes, each student was able to design a square.  Thank you to all who participated and especially to Mr. Nazarian who spent extra time (even came in on winter break!) to create our brilliant benches!
