It is my pleasure to announce that Tracy Day has accepted our invitation to become the next principal of Liberty Elementary School.

Tracy was hired by the District on Aug. 26, 1991. She began as a middle school language arts and social studies teacher at Memorial Middle School, where she continued through June, 2007.

She was then hired in July as a Secondary Student Achievement Specialist for the 2007/08 school year. In 2008/09, she was hired as Assistant Principal at North Albany Middle School. She shared those duties with Timber Ridge and North Albany Middle School in 2011/12.

In 2012/13, she became the Elementary Principal at North Albany Elementary.  She has continued in that role as well as assisting Human Resources with the redesign of the teacher evaluation system.

Tracy received her B.S. in Elementary Education from OSU in 1988 and her M.A. from WOU in 2002. She completed her administrative licensure program through UO.
