Third Graders Becoming Bridge Engineers

Posted on: May 24, 2017

Third grade students in Mrs. Marshall’s and Mrs. Susnik’s classes were treated to a special presentation by Liberty parent and CH2M Hill engineer Sterling Rose recently.  Mr. Rose discussed and demonstrated elements of engineering as they apply to bridges and bridge building.  With real-world examples and hands-on activities, students enthusiastically listened and learned.  The unit will conclude with students constructing their own bridges out of paper, utilizing the concepts presented by Mr. Rose.  Students are anxious to get started with their projects!
